Chapter’s introductory statement:
Space Tourism Society is coming into Africa when the continent is emerging as the new global business and market destination. Furthermore, when the continent has joined the elite space club ( countries with satellites in space).
Space Tourism is not new to the entire continent, Mark Richard Shuttleworth from South Africa is one of the few space tourists we have in the world today.
Space Tourism Society stands for creativity, education, technological innovation and advancement, entrepreneurship and business opportunities for investors.
Latest information/activity:
Space Tourism Society Nigeria through the Space Media Technologies Ltd partnered with Afe Babalola University to organize Yuri Gagarin’s (yuri’s night) 2013 in which national experts gave talk on various space applications. The program also involved space and space related agencies/organizations. Over one thousand university students participated.
Space Tourism Society Nigeria Chapter will be addressing another group of students from Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo, Oyo – State on Friday, April 26, 2013 regarding the formation of the society and future participation at Space Tourism Society events.
